At long last, we're on our way! Left Liverpool on the train yesterday, bumpy crossing from Holyhead to Dublin, then train journey down to Cork. Blue sky and sunshine, green fields, occasional old ruins, distant hills - lovely. Good night out in Cork last night sampling the black stuff - totally failed to spot the difference between Murphy's and Beamish, more investigation required I think!3rd picture shows Neil scoffing the Happy Hiking cake given to us by Patrick on Friday - sadly the lettering didn't survive the journey but it still tasted good.
So good to see your hiking pictures. Your guys look great and happy on the trail again. Hike on!
Best of luck. Neil needs more cake
Glad you both managed to get away as scheduled. As with the South Downs Way last year, it looks like you've conjured up some great weather – hope it lasts! I'll be enviously following your progress…. xx
That cake looks good enough to eat. Greetings and good luck from your mother at Storms River in South Africa.
I'm so excited for you! Hello to Neil.
