Finished!!!

I’m really happy to tell you that I have finally finished the South West Coast Path! 39 days of walking, 630 miles (1014km) distance, about 115,000 feet (35,031 m) of ascent, and I’m done. And very happy to have finished. To make it even better, my sister Roz joined me for the last few miles, from Old Harry to the finishing point at South Haven Point near Poole.

So, back to Kendal to plan my next hiking adventure, this time with Neil!

The end! The final signpost, giving the distance back to Minehead in Somerset where I started.

Congratulations! Maybe next year will find you both on the CDT. I’ll help if I can.

I have been following your progress with envy, especially as many parts of the path are well known to myself and Gillian. So congratulations and well done.

Thanks for the mention, Tanya – such a pleasure to share a few miles with you!! I think this could be a new and better plan for me – just gatecrash your adventures in the last few miles, and enjoy the celebrations! xxx

Well done, not sure I could stick it that long on my own!
